Rear tipping dumpers are essential for transporting bulk materials like soil, gravel, and construction waste across sites. While they may appear simple to operate, their unique design and handling characteristics require specific training to ensure safe, effective use—particularly compared to front-tipping or rigid-frame dumpers.
This NPORS-accredited N205 course is designed to provide operators with the knowledge and practical ability to operate rear tipping dump trucks safely and in accordance with best practice. It also helps eliminate unsafe habits that may have developed over time.
What You’ll Learn:Training combines theoretical instruction with hands-on practical exercises. Learners will use actual equipment in simulated work environments to reinforce key safety procedures and operating techniques.
Learners are assessed through a practical test and a theory-based questionnaire. Successful participants will receive either:
This course is intended for those who operate, or will be operating, rear tipping dump trucks in construction, quarrying, or similar environments. Prior machine experience is helpful but not essential.
