NVQs at the dozer trainer

Verification and Work Referrals
At The Dozer Trainer, we specialise in NVQs for Plant and Lifting Operations across both the Construction and Rail sectors
Our NVQs are accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) and enable operators to progress from a TRAINED status (“red card”) to a COMPETENT status (“blue card”).

What are nvqs?

NVQs are a valuable asset throughout your career. They are recognised by employers as proof of your knowledge, credibility, competency, and skill. They also demonstrate your ability to work to established industry standards, including CPCS and Sentinel.

We offer assessment and certification services throughout the Midlands and across the UK. Our assessors are experienced, time-served operators from both the Construction and Rail industries. They remain active in the field to provide relevant, practical support to newly qualified operators.

For the basics of what an NVQ is and why you need one,

How are NVQs achieved?

NVQs work by testing your abilities in the workplace and to complete an NVQ you need to prove that you can do certain work-related tasks.

They can be assessed in a combination of ways:

  • By portfolio – you build up evidence of what you’ve done at work;
  • and by observation – an assessor watches you work and checks that you can do the tasks.

The system is right for candidates who already have skills and want to increase them, but also for those who are starting from the beginning.
