The NPORS N108 MEWP Boom Course provides the knowledge and practical training needed to operate a boom-type Mobile Elevating Work Platform. It is suitable for complete beginners, people who have used access equipment before and experienced operators who only require assessment.
A boom lift allows an operator to reach areas that would be difficult or unsafe to access using ladders or other temporary equipment. It also introduces risks that are easy to underestimate, particularly when working close to steelwork, roofs, overhead services or moving vehicles.
