The Articulated Dump Truck (sometimes called a rear-tipping dump truck) is a robust and reliable machine used extensively for transporting materials around construction sites. Its articulated chassis enables easy navigation of tight corners, rough terrain, and adverse weather conditions.
The Dozer Trainer provides training and assessment on a Hydrema 922F ADT, which offers excellent driving capabilities at all speeds and on all surfaces. Operating a rear-loading articulated dump truck requires specific knowledge and skills distinct from rigid or front-loading dump trucks. This CPCS A56 certification equips plant operators with the practical and theoretical skills needed to operate these machines safely and productively.
The qualification covers two categories: A56A (up to 15 tonnes) and A56B (unlimited loads).
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
Training includes a blend of practical hands-on exercises and theory tutorials, led by experienced trainers at our purpose-built facilities, which also has hard-standing areas and tarmac roads to enable training all year round.
Successful candidates receive the CPCS Red Trained Operator Card, valid for two years per category (A56A or A56B).
This course is designed for Plant Operators who require practical and theory training and assessment on articulated dump trucks up to and over 15 tonnes. While prior machinery experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory. Both full training and assessment-only options are available.
We also offer Test Only.
