The Articulated Dump Truck (sometimes called a rear-tipping dump truck) is a robust and reliable machine used extensively for transporting materials around construction sites. Its articulated chassis enables easy navigation of tight corners, rough terrain, and adverse weather conditions.
Operating a rear-loading articulated dump truck requires specific knowledge and skills distinct from rigid or front-loading dump trucks. This CPCS A56 certification equips plant operators with the practical and theoretical skills needed to operate these machines safely and productively.
The qualification covers two categories: A56A (up to 15 tonnes) and A56B (unlimited loads).
